Lock celebrates school achievements

Lock Area School marked the end of 2019 with its presentation day on December 12.

Awards recognising top students through the grades up to Year 6 and senior subject awards were announced, along with special awards for students who went above and beyond through the year.

The Lock and Districts Service Club award was won by Hudson Mellor, with the Lock Lions award taken out by Joshua Kammermann.

Bowden Hitchcock won the Peter Treloar Student award, while staff member Meryl Weetra won the Rowan Ramsey School Community Award.

In the senior school, Caleb Hancock was awarded for his work across STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

Thomas Proctor topped the class in Humanities while Joshua Kammermann won his second award for Indonesian.
