Cleve Men's Championship Singles got off to a wet start for their first day's play but it did fine up later become a nice day.
16 players entered the competition, with new players Paul Peters and Nathan Haines-Darby having a go.
The semi finals and finals were played a week later in different weather conditions - no rain this time but a very stiff breeze made keeping the bowls on track a bit difficult.
The Plate semi final saw Paul Peters take the win, 21 shots to Graham Zwar's 11 shots.
The next to go into the semi was Warren Elson with 21 shots to Alan Spriggs's 11 shots.
The final between Peters and 'Bunk' Elson was a great game to watch.
Peters was up 20/19 but Bunk was able to get the two shots needed to win - the final score 21/19.
The Championship semi finals of 25 ends had Noel Millard up against Brad Jacobs.
Millard was down but was able to pick up and win 25/16 to go into the final.
The other semi was between Mark Kobelt and Paul Wheare.
Both were level at 20 all, but Wheare was not able to get there with Mark winning 25/20.
The grand final between Millard and Kobelt saw great shots from both players, even if the wind did play havoc with some of their shots.
Millard was the eventual winner 25 to Kobelt's 11 shots - as we know the score does not always indicate the good play that goes on in a game.
This is Noel Millard's second Club Singles Championship in a row he has won - congratulations.
