Close win in cosmopolitan fours held at Cleve

Ten teams from clubs in the area entered the recent Cleve Bowling Club's cosmopolitan fours event.

The event was held on a pleasant day with some very good bowls on show.

A team made up of of Lorraine Deakin, Mark Kobelt, Mary Edwards and Beth Deakin just got there to take the win with 86 points.

Runners-up were the team of Vicki Lehmann, Jeff Lehmann, Sue Enright and Angie Turner who were close to getting the win, also with 86 points.

The sponsor of the day's bowling was the Bendigo Bank Cleve Agency.

Bank representative Judy Arbery was on hand to pass out the sponsorship to the winners and runners-up at the end of the day.

Other noteworthy scores from across the day included Marg Baker with 59, Ruth Spriggs 38, Jacqui Dolling with 18, Gloria Kent 55, Rina Noble 11, Kerrie Winter 54, Denise Millard 37 and Kathie Roberts with 35.
