Kirton team wins Port Neill men's triples

A Kirton team won the men's triples tournament hosted by Port Neill on October 20.

The maximum 16 teams entered the day with players coming from Port Lincoln, Kirton Point, Cummins, Tumby Bay, Arno Bay, Cowell, Cleve, Lock & Port Neill.

The day's main sponsor was Quality Wool, with sponsorship also coming from the Port Neill Hotel, Port Neill Quarry and Iron Road.

The only four-game winners for the day were a team from Kirton Bowling Club comprising Darryl Hage, Darryl Karger and Nigel Griffin (sk).

The runners-up with three wins and a loss were Ron Waller, Malcolm Siegert and Rodney McDonald (sk) from the Port Lincoln Bowling Club.

Tumby Bay's Steve Higgins, John Rau and Trevor Smith (sk) were unlucky, winning two games and drawing two.

The day was well catered for and all players enjoyed the facilities.
