Preparations are underway for the Cleve Area School's 70th birthday celebrations, with a two-day festival style event in just over a month.
From Friday, October 18 to Saturday, October 19, locals, visitors and old scholars will mark 70 years of education at the school.
The Cleve Area School was officially opened on April 7, 1949 and now teaches about 300 students from Reception to Year 12.
It is especially renowned for its agricultural programs with students given the opportunity to work on the largest commercially operational school-based farm in the state.
The October celebrations will begin on the Friday with a spring fair from 4pm into the night, with market and food stalls, school memorabilia and live musical entertainment.
An old-fashioned school assembly will be run for those of all ages nostalgic for their own school days in the town.
On the Saturday, the school will host an egg and bacon breakfast before running tours of the school and Sims Farm from 10am until 1pm.
