The Cleve Lions Club is again holding the Mangalo Football and Netball carnival at Mangalo as some rain has fallen and it does not look too bad - certainly a bit different to last year when it had to be moved to Rudall.
The carnival will be on July 28, starting at 9am, with the Lions Club members doing the catering and the Eastern Ranges helping out as well. Their help is appreciated by the Lions Club.
Teams from the local area will be joined by teams from Lock, Tumby Bay and Whyalla.
There are usually 10 football and eight netball teams playing in the carnival, making for a great day for players, and Eastern Ranges and Ports do a great job organising the draws to make the day run smoothly.
The carnival is a fundraiser for the Lions Club to continue its ongoing and new projects in the community.
Ramsey Bros has again donated a bike for the club to raffle, with tickets available from Mitre 10, Cleve Newsagency and Gifted.
Tickets will also be available to buy at the carnival and the lucky winning ticket will be drawn on the day.
It is worthwhile going along to Mangalo to see the young ones playing and to soak up the Mangalo picnic atmosphere.
