During the four days from Monday, June 17 to Thursday, June 20, 20 keen girls represented the Central Eyre Peninsula SAPSASA Area and their respective schools proudly.

Team one was coached by Susie Boylan and consisted of Indi Donovan (Elliston), Hannah Evans, Leni Richardson, Gabby Taheny, Sarah Weiss (Cleve), Taeha Sampson, Rebecca Sampson, Sophie O'Brien, Bree North (Wudinna) and Nicole Modystach (Kimba) and manageress Deb Taheny.

During the week although the side only had two wins, there were three close games among the losses.

The girls fought hard every game and never gave up.

The girls were a great bunch to coach and showed great sportsmanship and friendship on and off the court during the week.

The team had a pretty successful week with six wins and three losses, finishing equal third overall.

The team improved as they learnt to play with each other and learnt a bit of resilience as they came from behind to win a couple of games.

The weather was reasonably kind, albeit freezing on the last day, but the team still managed to enjoy the game and each other no matter what the weather.

Thanks to the parents for their support throughout the week.

Monday afternoon the group and parents had a great time ten pin bowling and two missions of laser skirmish.

A huge thank you to the Central Eyre Peninsula umpires for the week.
