Community heads to polls

This weekend will see Australia head to the polls for the 2019 Federal Election.

Eight candidates have nominated for the electorate of Grey in the House of Representatives, which covers the Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Mid North and northern outback.

Polling stations across the Eastern Eyre Peninsula will open at 8am Saturday, May 18 and close at 6pm.

Community members in the Kimba area can cast their vote at the Kimba District Council.

The Cowell Sporting Complex will be the polling location for the Franklin Harbour district.

In the Cleve District, the Cleve RSL Hall, Arno Bay Memorial Hall and the Darke Peak Sporting Complex will all be open for voting.

The Lock Institute will host voting for Lock residents and the Port Neill War Memorial Hall will be open for Port Neill.
