WINNER: Dan Bastian in action at the foursomes event in memory of Fred Ramsey.

Resident bakers Nigel Fitzgerald and Daniel Bastian were too hot for their rivals last Saturday, winning the annual FA Ramsey memorial foursomes by five shots from their nearest rivals Trent Rodda and Nathan Haines-Darby.

Over 27 holes in perfect weather, this annual event is sponsored by the late Fred Ramsey's family.

He was a great pioneer of our district and a valued member of the club.

Around 20mm of welcome rain fell last week which should see some winter grasses germinate over next few weeks

Nearest in two shots was won by team 'Pal' Rodda and 'Noofy' Haines-Darby on one hole and Gazz Merrett and Andy Lee the other.

Second qualifer is scheduled this week so pay your subs if you want the first two rounds to count.

Also remember after golf next Saturday we are having teas and a vinyl record night.

Bring a few of your favourite records to play for fun and prizes from 6pm.

All friends of the club are welcome.
