Cleve Lions members did the annual roadside cleanup from the Roadhouse out to the Yeldulknie Weir recently, with rubbish along the road collected by the group and taken away.
Members and Lions ladies then gathered together at the Weir.
A plaque commemorating both the 100th anniversary of Lions International and 40 years of the Cleve Lions was unveiled.
Mary Edwards had previously suggested planting a tree, 'Corymbia Ficifolia' and having a plaque to signify this.
She had the honour of unveiling the plaque at the event with the addition of a few words.
The group enjoyed a barbecue lunch out by the Yeldulknie Weir, with the added bonus of cooking the barbecue under a shelter which has recently been installed.
There are plans to have solar lights installed under this shelter and also in the gazebo.
