PREVIEW: Eastern Ranges football, netball in 2019

Juniors key to future
Eastern Ranges are looking forward to the start of the 2019 season with great expectation. Our senior squad started training early March with good numbers consistently taking to the track.
We welcome Noah Ramsey who has moved into the district and is working at the local pharmacy. Ethan Tomney from Western Districts will also join the club.
Wade Mason will return after a year playing in Port Lincoln. Rick Leonard and Dustin Beinke also return after a year off. Thomas and Jack Weiss have returned to work on the family farm after finishing college last year.
We welcome three lads into the senior side for their first year in Hank Burton, Lachlan Smart, Nathan Peters and Campbell Fennell.
Ethan Kwaterski has moved to Adelaide and is playing with his cousin at Central District. Tom Lee has also decided to return home to the farm and will play for Western Districts.
Jess Kenny has moved to Streaky Bay for work and will play for West Coast Hawks. Caleb Evans has started an apprenticeship in Adelaide and will play Mallala.
Pat Jenner is again our senior coach. This is his third year as senior coach and is quietly confident of a good year in 2019.
Tony Evans will be in charge of the Reserves; he is a second-time coach and is looking forward to the challenges in the coming year.
Elliott Claxton will coach the senior colts for his first time this year. Numbers are sound and we are confident of a good year. Darren Allen is our junior colts coach; he has had plenty of experience coaching at various levels
Ethan Kwaterski was Eastern Ranges best and fairest and Jack Kenny Eastern Eyre's Mail Medallist in 2018. Matt Beinke won Eastern Ranges 2018 Reserves best and fairest and Nathan Gillings Eastern Eyre's Reserves medal.
Eastern Ranges Football Club is looking forward to an improvement in 2019 after last year's disappointment of finishing second behind Kimba Districts. As a club we will continue to place a lot of time and effort into the development of our juniors. These lads are the future of our club. Wishing all football and netball teams in Eastern Eyre a good 2019 season.

PREMIERS: The 2018 A grade premiership side. Names in story.
Building on successes
Heading into 2019, the Eastern Ranges Netball Club are looking to build on momentum gained from the 2018 season, with the pinnacle being the A graders taking home the premiership shield after a well-fought final game.
The team was undefeated for the 2018 season.
We have got a few new smiling faces around the club, as well as some familiar faces returning which has helped keep our numbers steady, and to help field four really strong and competitive senior teams.
After finishing second in other grades last year, we are working hard to finish one step further.
The quality of our players across the club is as good as any team within the league, but ultimately the wins will come down to how well our teams combine and play under pressure, and hopefully no injuries.
As a club we have faith within our teams at the junior and senior levels and we believe we have the ability to perform well on the court when it counts.
We want to create a respectful, positive and healthy learning environment for all our teams, and foster the development of a positive mental attitude and good sportsmanship.
As a club we believe success is showing improvement, giving our best effort, implementing during games what we practice and at all times displaying good sportsmanship.
We have been working hard to maintain a harmonious club where everyone reaches their full potential while having fun at the same time.
We believe we have a good mix of strong, dedicated and innovative coaches this year across all levels of competition which will no doubt help each one of our players give it their all.
Mandy Simes will continue as A grade coach and she continues to strengthen her knowledge and experience through undertaking courses and her team's success.
The girls will greatly benefit from her this year.
We would like to congratulate our players on their individual achievements; Lauren Simes on representing Eyre Peninsula at Whyalla, as well as Kate Haines and Nicole Simes for being chosen for Eyre Academy.
We are proud of their achievements and look forward to their growth this season.
The Eastern Ranges Netball Club would like to wish all the clubs well for the 2019 season.
