A fire in Kimba yesterday saw a house destroyed, with total damage estimated at $150,000.
CFS crews were alerted to the fire at 3.50pm on Thursday, April 11 when black smoke was seen coming from a house on Sharrad Crescent.
000 callers reported seeing the smoke coming from an air conditioner on the roof of the house.
When CFS crews arrived ten minutes later, the smoke had developed into a fire which had spread to the roof.
The fire had spread too far into the home for the building to be saved.
Fifteen firefighters from three crews managed to contain the fire to the home and protect nearby houses from damage.
Fire Cause Investigators will be attending the scene of the fire to determine the cause of the incident.
