Lock and Districts Mixed Netball held their first matches for the season on Friday, February 1.
The competition will run with four teams again this year, with a team from Elliston joining in the competition.
The five-a-side mixed netball competition will run over eight weeks, with the final game being played on March 29.
Red 22 def Blue 14
The first teams to take the court for the season were the Red and Blue teams.
During the game there was lots of even, steady play throughout the court.
For the Red team Alex Wiseman showed some great defensive pressure through the centre court.
Fergus Slape had great aerial height which helped in both the goal defence and attack positions for Red.
Roos 25 def Roosters 24
The last game of the night was a very fast-paced and competitive game played by Roos and Roosters, from Elliston.
Both teams had some good height in both the goal and defence ends.
Roosters Ella Williams directed her team well and played a great game in defence, combining well with Jay Williams.
Rowdy Roos’ Joz Phelps played a steady game in goals and Ty Habner’s defence work through the centre court and goal defence saw the ball turned over numerous times.
It was a great game, with the Rowdy Roos winning the match by just one goal.
