A man has been taken to hospital after a truck rolled over at the train crossing at Darke Peak.
The incident occurred at the bend of the Balumbah-Kinnard Road by the Darke Peak silos at around 2.15pm Wednesday afternoon.
The driver was taken to hospital for treatment and observation after sustaining a gash to the head.
The truck appeared to have lost control around the bend and flattened a stop sign heading across the railway tracks, before rolling and blocking the road.
Officer-in-charge Brevet Sergeant Sean Patton urged drivers to use caution on the roads.
“During harvest truck drivers should be mindful of road conditions, speed limits and their surroundings on the road,” he said.
“Everyone wants to get to Christmas safely.”
He said it was fortunate nobody else was involved in the incident.
