November 1982 began with a South Australian State election, where the Liberal Party lost power to the Labor Party.
Member for Flinders Peter Blacker held on to his seat as the only National Party member in the Lower House.
Meanwhile the communities on the Eastern Eyre Peninsula were keeping themselves busy playing sport, with bowls a high priority on the pages of the Tribune.
Many also tried their hand at theatre, with young and old performing plays.
Harvest was underway for the local farmers, and there was a lot of concern about quantity of yield after a bad year.
The conditions were not a surprise, with much of Southern and Eastern Australia still suffering through drought.
