Cash and firearm stolen from Cowell

Cowell Police are seeking information from the local community following a break-in on a local club.

Sometime between 4.30pm on Thursday, September 27 and 11.30am on Monday, October 1 thieves broke into the club on Third Street and stole cash, alcohol, about six bayonets and a deactivated firearm.

The bayonets and the deactivated firearm are all from World War I.

The deactivated firearm is a Lee-Enfield .303 calibre rifle with a bayonet attached the back.
