Cowell 20-21 (141) def Ports 3-9 (27)
After many squalls and a short hailstorm during the reserves game, the atmosphere was surprisingly splendid for the A grade game, apart from the 10 goal breeze from the south.
Cowell got off to a flyer in the first half kicking 11 goals with no goals scored by Ports.
As the teams ran out for the second half, Cowell seemed rather chill, and much like last time they played Ports at home, Cowell took their foot off the pedal in the third quarter.
Cowell came home strong in the last quarter, kicking five goals 10.
Cowell ended up winning the game by 114 points.
There were a lot more points scored than goals by both teams, giving something for both teams to work on before they meet again next week in the first final.
Nic Martens and Tim Walsh both kicked four goals for the Cats with Jack Burton being best on ground. B. Masters was best for Ports.
