Cleve District Council’s Instagram competition wrapped up this month with an Arno Bay boardwalk sunset photo by Kristy Turnbull being named winning post.
The council announced the winner on its Instagram page on June 4.
Cleve District Council tourism development officer Bridget Johnstone said the competition received 75 posts, and had improved the district’s digital presence.
Miss Johnstone said the number of entrants into the council’s recent Instagram competition was “surprising and overwhelming”.
“The community really made an effort to upload a variety of pictures, show casing many places and attractions available in our district.
“The competition was open for the month of May with the aim of capturing more of our district and increasing our social media presence utilising a number of hashtags.”
The winning post was selected through a random number generator, with the winner receiving a $200 voucher for the business of their choice.
“Congratulations to the winner Kristy Turnbull for uploading a photo of the Arno Bay Boardwalk, one of the many places people like to visit in our district,” Miss Johnstone said.
