South Australian growers, farmers and chemical users have until April 27 to book their unwanted chemicals with ChemClear, for the statewide collection in June 2018.
ChemClear program manager Frank Wimmler said farmers often ended up with chemicals they could not reuse and property owners may inherit chemicals when they buy land, when they switch crops, or buy specific use chemicals for one-off pest events.
ChemClear is trialing a joint collection with MobileMuster, so chemical users can drop off their unwanted mobiles and accessories on their delivery day.
MobileMuster’s Spyro Kalos said the collaboration would make it easy for rural residents to responsibly dispose of mobile phones and chemicals in one collection.
