Inventor of the Thermobrush device for cleaning the Thermomix machine, Jade Kuhn from Cowell, was the guest speaker at the Cowell Combined Probus Club’s March meeting.

Last October, Mrs Kuhn won the bronze award for product innovation at the Ausmumpreneur awards.

Thermomix Australia and Thermomix Denmark now stock and sell Mrs Kuhn’s invention, which is exported to Europe and also sold direct on Amazon.

Mrs Kuhn’s Thermobrush has been been nominated for many other awards including, Australian Small Business of the Year for best product start up, the Asia Pacific Stevie Award held in Hong Kong for Best Start Up Business and Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Telstra Business Awards for product innovation, The Good Design Award for best new design and the International Stevie Business Awards held in London for best new start up in international business.

With all of these award nominations, it will be a big year for Mrs Kuhn and she is very proud of only being in business in 12 months and having done it all herself.

Mrs Kuhn is also writing a cook book and continues to promote her brand.

She demonstrated six delicious recipes for all members to taste.

The March meeting was also the club’s annual general meeting, where, due to lack of members, president Mike Talbot, and all other officers other than treasurer were appointed for another year.

The past year has been entertaining for Probus with nine very interesting guest speakers for the year while during other months, members were entertained with member’s memories and a very successful Christmas luncheon.
