Rudall 3/99 def Lock 10/88
RUDALL hosted Lock in the A grade match on Saturday, with Lock chosing to bat first.
Johnny Noble got the first wicket of Gray, in the fifth over when the score was 10.
Boehm, Wheare and Boot soon followed and Lock were 4/15 in the 10th over.
Kammermann and Saxton Kay steadied the scoring before Kammermann was bowled by Riley Evans, for eight.
G. Slorach and Kay continued scoring freely until Slorach was run out by Riley Evans for 20.
Kay continued on, giving three chances before he was caught in slips for 32 off Oakley Price.
Lock ended up being bowled out for 88 in the 38th over with Riley Evans getting 3/27 and Oakley Price 3/15.
Ben Hampel and Mick Noble opened for Rudall and looked in control before Hampel was spectacularly caught at square leg by D. Wheare off the bowling of his dad Craig Wheare for 14 and the score on 50.
Noble and Caleb Evans continued until Noble was caught and bowled by Wheare for 54 and Evans followed soon after for three.
Lovegrove and Roberts got the side home three down in the 27th over.
Darke Peak 178 lost to Cowell 3/183
Cowell ventured to Darke Peak for a must win game for both clubs
Darke Peak won the toss and opened with Meyer and Haines who started quickly before Haines fell for 14.
Ramsey was seeing the ball well before tickling one behind for 18 from Wykamp and when Stutely fell in a similar fashion the Peak were 3/69.
Meyer got to 26 before Wykamp claimed his wicket as well.
Jez Schubert hit 27 before Schiller removed him to bring B. Pearson and Jay Schubert together.
They were having a good partnership until Schubert played one off the toe for 14 and then Pearson was bowled for 41 by Starr.
The Cowell boys tidied up the last couple of wickets to have the Peak all out for 178.
Klingberg took 4/38 and Wykamp 3/45.
Darke Peak set out needing early wickets while Schumann and Jaeschke took up where they left off the week previous until Butterfield had Schumann out leg before wicket for 53.
Wykamp and Fiegert both fell to Haines but Starr joined Jaeschke to make the required runs easily finishing 3/183 and Jaeschke 80 not out.
Lock 10/103 lost to Cowell 3/106
Cowell took the points in their B grade match against Lock at Murdinga.
The home side batted first,after winning the toss, opening with P. Blackburn and M. Mellor.
Mellor lost his wicket to L. Crabb caught behind by M. Franklin and Blackburn was bowled by T. McFarlane for eight, whose success continued with the ball, removing L. Heath and G. Morton.
S. Young was the main scorer for Lock as runs were hard to come by.
Further wickets fell with the dismissals of B. Burrows (0), T. Heath (9), B. Kay (4) and P. Pearce who contributed 10. Last man out after was N. Pearce (2), as J. Siviour picked up his second wicket.
Young top scored with 26, as the total reached 103, with G. Fieldhouse not out.
McFarlane did the most damage with the ball capturing four for 11 from his eight overs supported by J. Siviour taking 3/10 from seven overs and Crabb and Roberts with one wicket each.
Siviour and Franklin opened for Cowell, losing early wickets, Siviour to L. Heath for four before Young was in the action again, this time with the ball, removing Franklin and Crabb, both before they scored.
This was Lock's last success, as McFarlane continued his good day, this time with the bat contributing 35 and with M. Norris, 49, scoring the necessary runs for victory in 27 overs.
Young bowled eight overs to claim 2/14, with Heath taking 1/17 from his eight overs.
B grade ladder
Cowell is sitting on top of the Eastern Eyre Cricket Association B grade ladder, having won all but one match this season.
Cleve is sitting second, above Rudall by three games, with Lock rounding out the four-team competition on the bottom of the ladder.
