The Eyre Peninsula Tribune started more than 100 years ago for the Eastern Eyre Peninsula community and as one might expect a lot has changed in the paper since then.
As a part of these changes, different elements may have been left behind or left out of the paper as new items were introduced.
This year at the Eyre Peninsula Tribune, one of our main goals is to have more engagement with the Eastern Eyre Peninsula community.
That is why we are asking everyone who reads the Eyre Peninsula Tribune, online and in print, to give us feedback and ideas for the paper.
We want to know what you like about the paper, what don’t you like and what you think we could do to make the paper better?
We are already looking into the possibilities of bringing back the Tribby Turtle children’s page and maybe even the I Remember When page in the next few months.
However, these pages cannot happen without assistance from the community.
We need businesses to sponsor these special pages and we need the community to send in content so we can put the pages together.
It is the same with the news stories, as a single journalist newspaper, it is difficult to be everywhere and cover everything, no matter how hard we try.
If you are going to a community or sporting event and have a camera, take it along and grab some photos to send through to us along with names and some details of the event.
At the end of the day, the Eyre Peninsula Tribune is a community newspaper, and we want to make it to make sure the community is the main focus.
Please do not be afraid to send us stories or feedback, we want to hear what you think about the newspaper and we can take a bit of criticism.
We know we are not perfect and there are things that we could do to improve the Tribune but it is great to hear positive feedback too.
You never know, you may have an idea for the paper that no one has thought about and would work really well.
Send your feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org or have a chat to us by giving us a call or popping into the Eyre Peninsula Tribune office between 9am and noon every day.
