Cowell youngsters have been enjoying a local Milo in2Cricket program for the last eight weeks, which was put on by the Cowell Cricket Club and organised and run by Kieran Fiegert and helper Jesse Hodgins.
There were about 27 children participating each week, from five-year-olds to nine-year-olds, including both boys and girls.
Each week, the young players enjoyed learning new cricket skills like batting, bowling, catching, throwing, fielding, accuracy and team work.
They learnt new fun cricket games and got to celebrate the last session with a sausage and iceblock.
Junior cricketer Chase Piggott said the best bit about taking part in Milo Cricket was “whacking sixes and playing the games”.
Milo in2Cricket organiser Kieran Fiegert said each session was great to hold as all the children were so enthusiastic and ready to learn new cricket skills.
“It's great for the local cricket club and association to have so many young kids getting their skills up and enthused about playing cricket.”
