Pringles mo’ men raising awareness and funds for men’s health

Seven Pringles Crouch staff members in Cleve and Kimba have been growing their mustaches in order to raise awareness, and funds, for men’s health as part of Movember.

The men known as the ‘Green Team’ have raised $400 online for the Movember Foundation simply through word of mouth.

The men started clean shaven and have tracked their moustaches’ progress on their team’s Movember page.

Pringles Crouch Cleve and Kimba branch manager Danny Nagel said the team was taking part in the fundraiser to raise awareness.

“We just wanted to raise awareness and funds for men’s health,” Mr Nagel said.

“We tried to get everyone to join but we got most of the lads to take part.”

Mr Nagel has been joined by Thomas Higgins, Bradley Shadwell, Chris Provis, Chris Kenchington, Troy Elleway and Jimmy Llewelyn.

He said Pringles Crouch had been involved in the Movember campaign before.

“This is my first year here in Cleve and they’ve never done it before but other Pringles branches have,” Mr Nagel said.

The Green Team have not held any special fundraisers, raising funds through word of mouth of friends, family and customers.

The Movember Foundation has been in existence for 14 years and is the only charity that tackles men’s health on a global scale.

Every year, the Movember Foundation encourages men, and women, to grow a moustache and raise funds for men’s health different projects.

Starting in Australia, Movember is now an event in 20 countries around the world, including America, Britain, South Africa and France.

The charity has raised more than $5.5 million since its inception and in turn has funded 1200 men’s health projects.

More than five million ‘Mo Bros and Mo Sistas’ have taken part in the campaign since it started in 2003.

It is aiming to transform the way men’s health research is done and how health services reach and support men, particularly in prostate and testicular cancer and mental health.

People can donate funds to the Green Team on its team Movember page at and see the progress the team members have made with their moustaches.
