Representatives from Kimba will join in a Don’t Dump on SA rally on the Parliament House steps on Saturday to oppose the proposed National Radioactive Waste Management Facility.
Speakers from the Kimba community and Flinders Ranges will respond to the federal government’s push to build a national radioactive waste dump in one of these areas.
The rally will call on state and federal leaders to make a stand against the nuclear waste dump and uphold existing SA legislation that makes nuclear dumps illegal.
Tom Harris from Kimba will be among the speakers that will be talking at the rally in opposition to the proposed facility.
The rally will start at 11am and is expected to go for about an hour.
