Kimba-Cleve Road limit drop

Local opposition to reducing the Kimba-Cleve road speed limit to 100 kilometres an hour has not changed the state government’s plans with the new lower speed limit now in place.

The reduction from 110km/h to 100km/h is part of the government’s move to reduce the speeds on eight regional roads with bad accident histories.

Member for Grey Rowan Ramsey and Member for Flinders Peter Treloar were both disappointed by the decision, with the Liberals promising to reinstate the original speed limit if elected at the March state election.
