Kimba District Council residents will have the chance to have their voice heard on the council’s renewable power project.
The council has started an investigation into the provision and supply of renewable power to the town and district.
As part of the investigation, the council found the potential for full or partial power supply through a combination of solar and battery storage.
However, the council is now looking for feedback from the community on the projects and its suitability for the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science’s Community Benefit Program.
The council will deliver the survey to post boxes on Friday, November 17, with questions about people’s power usage.
The survey needs to be returned by December 11, either to the post office or the council offices or complete it online at oursay.org/kimba-district-council.
Project organisers will be holding three public information sessions starting next week, to answer any questions and offer assistance with completing the survey forms.
There will be a daytime and an evening session next Wednesday, November 22, at 11.30am to 12.30pm and 6.30pm to 8pm at the Kimba Gateway Hotel Function Room, as well as on Wednesday, November 29 at 6.30pm to 8pm at the hotel.
