Life Education will be delivered to regional South Australia, with an increase in funding if the Liberal Party wins the 2018 state election.
State Liberal leader Steven Marshall has committed $1.2 million to Life Education, which has agreed to increase the number of programs delivered to regional SA.
Member for Flinders Peter Treloar said the electorate needed healthy lifestyle and drug prevention education.
“Like many other communities in regional South Australia, the electorate of Flinders is facing serious problems of increasing drug and alcohol use,” he said.
The $1.2 million will enable Life Education to deliver free drug education programs to thousands of students in years 6 to 10.
