The Kids for a Cause fundraiser finished this month, with the 12 children and their parents raising a total of $15,238.15 for the Cleve Hospital and Crestview Hostel.
The money raised goes toward essential clinical equipment used by the health care professionals to care for the whole community.
It also contributes to facilities to make patients and visitors time in the Cleve Hospital or Crestview Hostel a comfortable one.
The parents and children raise these funds through a number of different and creative ideas, including trading tables and firewood sales.
Cleve clinical services coordinator Delicia Turner and the Hospital Auxiliary members have been investigating the potential purchase of a hoverjack lift system, which will make assisting patients who have had falls, much easier.
In 2015, 17 children raised $17,800, which was used to fund the purchase of a new emergency trolley for the accident and emergency department as well as refurnishing the patient lounge area.
The group thanked Lucy Elleway from Photography by Lucy, the Coffee, Craft and Chat group, Mitre 10, Cleve Newsagency and Kelly Morrow from Figtree Designs for their support.
