Cowell’s hall is where the art is

To honour the event Home is Where the Hall is, the Cowell Art Group is holding an exhibition in the Franklin Harbour Institute.

Bright colours, the outback and the sea and still life were all used as inspirations for this exhibition of more than 150 paintings.

The nine members have paintings displayed in the foyer, information centre, art and craft room as well as the upstairs art room.

The members also have a display in the public toilets that has been named “Crap Art”

This has proved immensely popular with visitors and encourages them to go into the Hall and also to view members’ paintings in the Franklin Harbour Hotel.

The group meets every Monday from 10am and is happy to welcome visitors to watch them working.

The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 3.30pm from November.
