Cleve has welcomed a new officer-in-charge Brevet Sergeant Sean Patton to the community.

Sgt Patton has taken up a position as officer-in-charge at Cleve Police Station after an enjoyable 12 months as officer-in-charge at Lock.

During his police career, he has worked in a range of areas within SA Police, including operation mandrake and the Mount Barker Crime Investigation Branch.

Sgt Patton said his family had enjoyed their time on the Eyre Peninsula, and were looking at this position as a long-time stay.

He said he would also be looking after the Cowell station until a new police officer started there in November.
