BOARD MEMBER: Meagan Turner, Cowell, has joined the EPNRM board.

Cowell’s Meagan Turner is one of two new Eyre Peninsula Natural Resources Management Board members (EPNRM), along with Whyalla’s Helen Smith.

EPNRM presiding member Diana Laube welcomed the women at their first meeting and said their skills and backgrounds would benefit the board.

“The breadth of skills and backgrounds brought forward by Helen and Meagan will complement the current board well,” Ms Laube said.

“Meagan Turner lives in Cowell and is a member of the South Australian Oyster Growers Association and brings with her a background of pastoral farming, health industry and business.”

Ms Laube said the board was open to partnerships with community and stakeholders to achieve the goals of the Regional NRM Plan.

The next board meeting will be in Ceduna at the Natural Resources Centre on October 24.
