A dream to one day attend an Adelaide Crows grand final in Melbourne has come true for a local who tipped the clash back in April.

Grant Heidenreich and his son Wayde, who has aspergers, purchased AFL grand final tickets after round six when the Crows defeated Richmond 140-64 in the hope the team would make it through.

“Wade and I thought this was the year,” Grant said.

Also a passionate Wayback supporter in the local league, Wayde said it was a dream come true to buy the tickets and be able to see his favourite team play in his first trip to the MCG.

“It’s the dream because Wayback won this year too.”

Wayde said he was particularly excited because their seats were at Eddie Betts’ pocket.

Crows fans staying in Port Lincoln for the grand final will have the opportunity to meet Danny the Crow.

Danny Morphett will be dressed in his mascot costume and will be flying and posing for photos on Friday and Saturday starting at the Pier from 10am.
