A grade 

United Yeelanna def Lock 78-40

UNITED Yeelanna started strong and fast, while Lock took a while to adjust to Yeelanna’s speed.

Lock played a steady game, going for every ball.

Lock wing attack Melissa Morton and Yeelanna wing defence Holly Campbell fought hard for every ball as Yeelanna centre court players Tanya Habner and Kate Hancock dominated. 

Lock continued to work tirelessly. Yeelanna’s Sarah Holderness and Cassie Norton combined well, Norton a strong target for team-mates.

A reserves

United Yeelanna def Lock 45-26

Lock got off to a good start quickly scoring the first two goals as goalies Ciara Williams and Kelsey Hurrell combined well.  

United Yeelanna wing attack Lucy Norton and Lock wing defence Monique Tebeck had a great tussle through the centre, with Tebeck taking some great intercepts down the court.

Yeelanna defenders were using their height to their advantage defending and intercepting well making Lock goalies work hard in the ring.

B grade

United Yeelanna def Lock 43-33

This was a great game with even play through the mid court. Yeelanna’s goalies Jess Phillips and Crystal Robins moved in the ring while Lock goal keeper Izzy Swearse defended hard taking some great intercepts.

Good match-ups through the centre saw all players consistently attacking and defending all balls.

Lock wing attack Sally Potter had many great passes and combined well with Lock goal attack Anne Marie Baines.

The last quarter saw Yeelanna goalies step up and shoot some great goals while at the other end of the court the Yeelanna defenders applied pressure to the Lock goalies who found it hard to get the ball to the post.

B reserves

United Yeelanna def Lock 31-22

From the very first whistle Lock goal defence Afton Kay and United Yeelanna goal attack Danni Dufek fought for every ball.

Dufek moved well in the goal circle and combined well with shooter Kate Murnane.

Lock wing attack Hayley Potts and centre Indah Gynell worked well together through the centre court passing well into their goalies where Lock goal shooter Sally Zacher created space and combined well with goal attack Vanessa Boehm.

Yeelanna defenders Kelsey Hall and Mckenzie Meaney rebounded well and intercepted balls, and mid court players Talya Coombs, Georgia Hall and Lily Glover were always ready to send it to their goal end.

D grade

Lock def United Yeelanna 41-14

Lock took the win in a fast paced game, combining well throughout the court.

United Yeelanna goal attack Dakota Cafuto moved well in the ring tightly defended by Lock goal defence Hannah Zerk.

Lock defenders took great intercepts and rebounds sending them to their goalies where Yeelanna made Lock fight for every ball.

Even play through the centre saw some great play from both teams. Yeelanna stepped up in the last quarter keeping Lock to six goals to their four, with Sophie Wilskch and Annie Firth combining well in defence.

E grade

United Yeelanna def Lock 56-35

United Yeelanna looked more experienced through the centre as Lock players struggled to get the ball. Lock goal attack Mikala Baines shot well with Yeelanna goal keeper Lara Mayo keeping a tight defence on goal shooter Ruby Arbon.

Yeelanna’s mid court players found it easy to intercept many balls due to the soft passes by Lock.

Yeelanna’s goalies shot steady all game, combining well in the circle.
