The Cleve District Council’s campaign to have the speed reduced at two locations in Cleve and Arno Bay is continuing.
The council has previously made unsuccessful requests to have the speed limit west of Cleve and along the Arno Bay section of Lincoln Highway reduced.
At a recent meeting in Wudinna, deputy mayor Bryan Trigg and the council’s chief executive officer Peter Arnold spoke to Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure chief executive Michael Deegan about the requests.
“It was a productive meeting, Mr Deegan has promised that he will look into the matter for us, and give instructions to his people,” Mr Trigg said.
However, he said there was no timeline given on when the council would receive an answer from the department.
