AFL Women's round one: Adelaide Crows v Greater Western Sydney Giants | MEGA PHOTO GALLERY

In the second historic match of the AFL Women’s (AFLW) competition, Adelaide Crows took on the GWS Giants on Saturday, February 4. 

Rain didn’t stop a crowd of over 9200 people attending the match at Thebarton Oval.

The Crows ran out winners, 7.6 (48) to GWS 1.6 (12). 

Olympic basketballer Erin Phillips booted three majors for the Crows, while Kellie Gibson scored their first goal, and Chelsea Randall, Deni Varnhagen, and Sarah Perkins all kicking a goal each.

Phoebe McWilliams slotted the Giants’ only goal for the game.

Ebony Marinoff was named best for Adelaide, while number one draft pick Nicola Carr was best for GWS.
