Rudall netballers take to the court this Saturday for the first game of the season against Ports on a fresh new surface.
Replacing the existing acrylic, the new 'synpave' surface was professionally laid last weekend by TEB Contractors.
Rudall Community Sports Club president David Weiss said the club members had worked very hard over the last two years, to raise the money to renew the fading courts which had served them well for the last 10 years.
"The netballers will find the courts are more even and have more grip than before, and we are sure the tennis players will also be appreciative of the upgrade," Weiss said.
"As part of ongoing upgrades at Rudall it is expected increased spectator shelter will be completed along the front of the complex during the winter season.
“Judging from the excitement around the club, the netball and football clubs both expect good results this year."
A new community CFS shed will also be built on the recreation grounds in the next financial year.
Rudall is just one of several Eastern Eyre sporting clubs upgrading their facilities for the 2009-10 season.
Resurfacing of the Cleve courts was also completed last week, while Kimba and Cowell sporting complexes have seen comprehensive upgrades in recent months.
