COWELL v RUDALL… Cowell and Rudall were goal for goal but Cowell settled quicker with Dessy Carmody and Susan Carmody feeding well.

Cowell lead at quarter time, 10 goals to four. Cowell settled quickly in the second quarter with excellent defensive pressure by Stacey Stenning and Michelle Curtis.

Cowell was able to capitalise on any mistakes made by Rudall.

Cowell had a handy eight-goal lead going in to half time, Cowell 17, Rudall 9. Emily Wykamp and Tanya Williams both started very strong in the third quarter. Jasmin Gale continued strongly in goals, replacing Tanya.

Centre court players were very good at turning the play around. ‘Dessy’, Maddi and Susan assisted Cowell to a strong nine-goal lead, Cowell 27 to Rudall 18. The fourth quarter saw Tanya Williams come back on the court ‘on fire.’ Cowell steadied early and ran them out with the shield in sight. Bad luck to Rudall.
