Spring flower show a blooming success

22 Oct, 2009 09:45 AM
Organisers have touted last week’s Cleve Spring Flower Show as an “outstanding success”.

The show, held at the Cleve Uniting Church as a fundraiser, attracted more than 150 entries and as many spectators throughout Friday.

“There was a very friendly, happy atmosphere with food, a plant stall and a trading table,” Glenda Arthur said.

“We were delighted with the number of entries and the number of people who came.

“There were 12 sections and we had 31 entries in just one section.”

Winning blooms were selected through a ‘people’s choice’ voting process.

The day raised more than $1600 for the Cleve Uniting Church.
