New welcome walls at Kimba

25 Feb, 2010 09:51 AM
A series of nine stone walls has been completed at each of the town entrances to Kimba.

The Kimba Community Development Group has been involved with the project originally started by Kimba Apex Club.

The last two walls have now been finished and development group members supported John ‘JR’ Woolford with stone gathered from a local farm while council assisted with the supply of sand as needed.

As most of the work on the latest walls was done during 40°C heat, JR says “this helped by welding the cement mix to the stones”.
