More rains expected on EP

03 Sep, 2010 05:48 PM
Rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue across Eyre Peninsula as local residents are busy mopping up from today's torrential downfall.

Kimba - where local emergency services were busy sandbagging classrooms and business premises - received almost 70mm during Friday.

Power was interrupted for more than two hours in Cleve and for more than four in other areas including Darke Peak and Smeaton as a result of lightning storms which are expected to continue into the night.
