Klein joins campaign for Flinders

14 Jan, 2010 02:59 PM
Wilbur Klein hits the campaign trail again this year after being nominated by the Nationals for the State seat of Flinders.

The Cockaleechie teacher and farmer previously ran for the seat of Grey at a Federal level.

Wilbur says he has a “passion and commitment to community that cannot be swayed by party politics or bias”. According to Wilbur, “country communities need representatives who can work with whichever political party is in government, and with all the government agencies, to make sure the balance is right in legislation and budgets”.

Wilbur will step up to the polls alongside Edilillie farmer and Liberal candidate Peter Treloar in the state election on March 20, 2010, in what has long been considered a ‘safe’ Liberal seat.

Finance officer Grant Wilson, of Port Lincoln, has also been tipped to stand as the Family First candidate for Flinders.

Cowell residents will again vote alongside the greater Eastern Eyre Peninsula in the electorate of Flinders this year after being redistributed out of Giles.
