Eyre Peninsula hit by 115kph winds

Gusts of winds measuring as much as 115kph hit Eyre Peninsula on Tuesday causing widespread damage .

While Whyalla recorded the State’s highest windspeeds for the day, with 115kph, Cleve airport also recorded wind speeds in the 90s.

Local councils and emergency services have reported some storm damage including damage to silos, felled trees and branches.
