The Eyre Peninsula Embroidery Guild has been meeting locally for more than 40 years and is now calling for new members.
The guild is keen to attract younger members to learn the skills and share their expertise with some of the group’s longer-running members.
“We do more than just embroidery - there’s lacework, blackwork, needles weaving - and we occasionally solve the problems of the world,” guild member Neva Trigg said.
“Everyone brings along their work and we have a ‘show and tell’ each meeting.”
The guild boasts members from Wanilla and Port Lincoln, Kimba, Cowell, Cleve and Arno Bay.
To learn more about the guild, telephone Anne Elson - 8620 7084 or Neva Trigg - 8628 2424, or drop into the group’s next meeting at the Arno Bay CWA hall on Monday, October 12.
