Church's flipping good fundraiser

18 Feb, 2010 09:23 AM
Cleve Uniting Church volunteers hosted Pancake Day at the Cleve Centenary Park on Shrove Tuesday, February 16, 2010.

The group raised more than $200 for UnitingCare with the funds raised aimed at supporting local services and community projects.

“We thank people for the support, especially the around 50 people who took the time to come along and enjoy a pancake,” volunteer Joy Crosby said.

“Everybody enjoyed the pancakes but a lot stayed for the fellowship and lovely weather.”

Cleve Area School staff also contributed to the fundraising, raising around $20 from pancakes at the school.

Pancakes will be available for sale again on Sunday, at the Cleve Uniting Church Hall after the local morning service.
